How to Clear Your Browser Cache on All Major Browsers

Clearing your browser cache can solve loading or formatting issues on websites. The cache stores information from websites you visit to load them more quickly in the future. However, this stored data can sometimes cause websites to display incorrectly or prevent them from loading the latest content. Here’s how to clear the cache on all major browsers.

Tips for All Browsers

  • Clearing your cache does not log you out of websites or delete your bookmarks.
  • You can often use keyboard shortcuts to quickly open the clear browsing data window. For example, Ctrl+Shift+Del (Command+Shift+Delete on a Mac) works in most browsers.
  • If you're experiencing issues with a specific website, try clearing the cache and refreshing the page before attempting more complex troubleshooting steps.
